Taylor Swift donates $50k towards music therapy for teenage cancer patients
One of the world’s top pediatric cancer centers is upping its game, thanks to a $50,000 donation by Taylor Swift. According to JustJared, Swift earmarked the cash to create “a high-tech music therapy cart for teens to create and produce their own music while they go through cancer treatment.”
CHOP CEO Steven M. Altschuler, M.D., said in a statement that his team is “thrilled that Taylor Swift has chosen to support The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s Cancer Center. Her gift will help lift the spirits of many CHOP patients during a difficult time.”
