When Jealousy Rules

When Jealousy Rules

I have learnt a lot about jealousy since doing research for this blog

Why does a person get jealous? Experts say it’s an emotional state. I do believe that once a person isn’t content with a scenario or issue, they find fault in others. They tend to hate, criticize, and even find joy when they see others fail.

It’s always easy to pry into a person’s life.  However people usually exude a façade to the public and even towards friends and family, it comes to a point that even that same person you might be radiating negative energy on might have the world of problems.  It’s so easy for us to pass judgment on people, criticize and show hate to someone, that we ourselves forget that they too are of flesh and blood just like us and experience a lifestyle that we may not even be aware of.

The question is; can jealousy be cured? Well let’s see if we work on finding success and creating ways for ourselves to grow and concentrate on us rather than create avenues for comparison and contrast. If one surrounds themselves with positivity, faith and guiding beliefs of regulated trust in ourselves and others, I think we would be onto a good start.

Now that isn’t always the case. It’s inevitable and natural for humans to compare. But being so jealous and going the extra mile to hurt someone is crossing the line. When we allow jealousy to rule and intervene in our daily lives we become the monster of it all. Hate fill our hearts, resulting in vindictive, devilish acts. Is that attractive? Definitely Not, it’s more of a turn of and not a good example especially if you have kids.

Blame happens to be a big part of jealousy. Blaming others isn’t going to help you in your endeavors, but instead cause you to waste time casting aspersions. What I suggest rather, is to reflect, revisit, analyze and take note and heed of one’s self as it relates to whatever the situation may be.

Admitting to the realization that things didn’t work out the way I wanted it to, but let me reassert myself and try something  else. Humans do get jealous, but to what extreme should we allow ourselves to let it over take our mind, body and soul.

I know of someone who once became so jealous of another person he drove himself insane and even embarrassed himself. Why? Why do that to yourself? Is it worth it? Do you really need to go after someone and make it your business to hate that person? How will that help you? That will only poison your mind and turn your soul into a bitter person. I learnt a long time ago that time is precious, it’s the one thing that once it’s gone we can never get it back, and the more we dwell on jealousy the less time we will have to build our life.

Let’s get rid of the jealousy and focus on building a better you.
