Liars

Lairs

In any relationship one of the most vital necessities is
trust. It’s challenging to deal with society these days because it’s filled of individuals
who ironically think it’s ok to tell lies or hide the truth. In an intimate
relationship between spouses, one may ask the question; Is it ok to lie to your
significant other? Realistically most of us lie in a similar scenario as a
result to pacify your partner, usually not to hurt their feelings. Many may relate
to this act as telling a white lie.  “Honey
do I look fat”, “of course not sweetheart”.  You get the drift right?  . Here’s the follow up question to the previous
one, how long can lies of this nature go on for and when do our lies for the
most simplistic reasons grow and evolve into blatant and explicit hurtful ones?

Many friends of mine have confided in me about wrongful
doings that they have committed including cheating and sneaking around behind their
partners back.   My take on this touchy
situation is that if you have to bring yourself to the point where you have to
impact onto the creation of fictitious stories aka “Lies” to pacify or quell a grievance
in your life, then realistically you  are
well aware of what you are doing is wrong.

But wait, if you have to fabricate a story for the sake of
life or death, does this quantify as you being a liar? I always say, one should
always know where to be objective and subjective in life.

So your kid daughter at school sings her heart out at the
choir reception, however everyone was covering their ears and shunning as she
sang, but as she runs up to you after the recital you hug her and call her the
next Whitney Houston.  This is done
however to commend her bravery and encourage her perseverance to sing and mature
with love and support from her parents.

But what about the deceptive liars who look at you blaringly
in your face and relate a tale that they too start to believe because they have
repeated it so many times. How do we deal with these chronic unfaithful misfits
in society who fall into this already vast bracket?

Usually most philosophers and theorist would challenge a
dynamic situation or problem such as lying by starting at the root cause. Let’s
head there together. Proper ethical and social upbringing is critical in a
person’s life. There family’s influence and social values are impacted onto them
from birth and their peers are the ones who reinforce or weaken these values.
It’s the conscious living that begins at home that will alleviate this problem
of mistrust.  Therefore we are to teach
children the value of being faithful, trustworthy and staying true to
themselves and others.

Think about this if you are viewed as a respectable person,
people would feel at ease knowing you, talking to you, bringing you business as
oppose to having a bad reputation. One lie can taint your persona and you
immediately become a person of questionable decorum. You can even lose the
trust of some of the people you love dearly. So before you tell a lie, think to
yourself; is it worth it – As you know the truth always prevails.

The truth always come out in the open, be confident in
yourself to know that if you tell the truth instead of a lie you can muster up
and get the courage to handle any consequences that will come with telling the
truth rather than continuously lying.

Lairs personally make me sick. I’m proud to say that I don’t
practice the ill of lying, as what you see is what you get. I love who I am and
walk with my head high knowing that at the end of the day people can trust me
and I have nothing to be ashamed about. It’s a rewarding feeling!

My last advice to the many pathological
lairs that swindle throughout our presence daily; rethink situations before you
actively open your mouth to conduct communication with individuals, and think
about the outcomes that may follow. Remember be true to yourself first and then
you will realize that once this is done, a reflection of honesty will permeate
amidst your aura. You can only make a mockery out of yourself once you straddle
the reigns of deception and dishonesty and it might end up hurting the ones you
love in the long run and even you.  Live
a good life and do what it takes to be a genuine human being
